Agreed, its their fucking land. Too bad that corporate interests are are being told "no." Fuck the energy companies, they can pound sand. So it's you, me and Asshole against the 2 women. Who do you think will win this debate? Who do you think? I'm lucky I'm not already dead.

Who do you think? I'm lucky I'm not already dead. A showdown between ex-military and corporate police is inevitable. It taking place on sacred tribal land is poetic justice,, so even if they lose this battle, it should wake up enough of us to the fact that police are owned by corporations and the enemy of the people. I don't know Queen or Hawk too well but I'm pretty sure they will side with the people.

I will. The land that the pipeline is on Is not part of their reservation. It's NOT their land. Their land starts 1/2 mile away.

Warren Buffet will be unhappy. So what?

If that's the case someone dropped the ball! But .. On Sept. 21 and then again on Oct. 20, according to an email I received from the North Dakota State Historic Preservation Office, delegations that included law enforcement, Standing Rock Sioux officials and tribal and state archaeologists went to the areas that Mentz suggested contained 82 sites and 27 burials.
They found on closer inspection—tribal archaeologists hadn't been allowed on private land—that none of the features were disturbed by the 150-foot corridor, with the exception of four rocks that might have been displaced. Two bones were recovered, but analysis showed them to be from a horse, cow or bison. I t would seem that the main sites Mentz agonized over had escaped physical destruction. However, tribal input would be needed to determine if the sites, so close to the corridor, could still suffer from indirect and cumulative impacts.

This kind of bullshit needs to be stayed away from: "It is abundantly clear that the tribe was not adequately consulted in the permitting process, and the administration seems to recognize the need to respect the Tribe's rights and sovereignty moving forward," Greenpeace spokesperson Lilian Molina said. "The previous decision to reroute the pipeline from Bismarck, a city that is mostly white, to just north of Standing Rock is a clear case of environmental racism. Pipelines are prone to spills and no matter where this disaster of a project crosses the Missouri River, it will jeopardize precious water supply downstream. We hope that a thorough but expeditious analysis shows that the pipeline must be stopped in order to protect all of our land, water and climate." ecowatch just lost ANY cred with me that I was willing to give them. www.ecowatch.com/dakota-access-pipeline-army-corps-2093719013.html

The 150-foot corridor is on tribal land. The Lakota never agreed to sell that land. Our corporate government allowed a pipeline to be built on disputed land knowing the courts would side with the corporation like always. Yet another treaty violation by whitey.

This seems to be the most factual gathering of information I can find (even if it's from professional tree-huggers) A lawsuit was filed against the Fed Gov last July. Read it What pisses me off about this is the Obama Admin neglected this issue on it's face value. When Obama EO'd a delay he used 'global warming' among other excuses -yet it's Trump who is being held responsible! The most honest issue, imo, is honoring treaties. earthjustice.org/features/faq-standing-rock-litigation
